Blend SPARKSA lot of students go to college without an idea of what they want to do. Some feel overwhelmed by all of their possibilities. SPARKS is a course designed for gifted students that provides an opportunity for students to learn about themselves, their strengths, and explore potential pathways for their future. Whether students want to explore research, college, volunteering, or military-service, this course will help students identify their strengths, push them to enhance their soft skills, and help them to discover the role they play as a citizen in our society.

- Module Introduction: All of us come to the table with different strengths and weaknesses. We have opinions, emotions, and experiences that dictate our decisions and reactions. First we want to explore those things that impact us most--those implicit entities that shape our perspectives, interpretations, inferences, and references. We are going to discover our Cultural Frame of Reference.
- Module 1: Who Am I? Students will explore various facets of who they are. During this module, you will take your students through a deeper self-discovery. Student apply this self knowledge to create a goal that they will pursue for the duration of this course.

- Module 3: Finding a Pathway and Leaving a Legacy " If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either write something worth reading or do something worth writing. -Benjamin Franklin
- Module 4: Implementing Your Plan using the project planning protocol. “Sometimes, the questions are complicated, but the answers are simple.”
- Module 5: Finalize Findings and Presentations and self assessment measuring it against the criteria set in the previous module. “You can’t connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking back. “ - Steve Jobs
- Module 6: Exit Interviews -Updating your website. Students need to update their website to best reflect the work they have done. Use the rubric to inform students of the expectations of the assignment.
